Your favorite musician kicking his drug habit is a bummer. It’s a bummer for him because he’s squandering his opportunity to die a young hero like Dee Dee Ramone or Jerry Nolan. Now he’ll probably go on to play shows long after he should call it quits, covering his own old stuff and capering around in snakeskin pants well into his seventies. It’s also a bummer for you because getting clean is never good for rock n’ roll and he’s gonna have a lot of free time on his hands that he would normally spend scoring smack, so he’ll probably embarrass everyone further by doing something like getting a Tumblr account or putting out a book of poetry. Also a bummer: your favorite musician dying of an overdose.
