Early Earth is a bummer. Scientists used some new technology to make a picture of what Earth looked like 4.2 billion years ago and guess what? It’s kind of a bummer. It turns out that Early Earth looks less like a righteous desert in hell and more like a poster that a too-old creepy suburban stoner would have on his ceiling. All that’s missing is a unicorn. Don’t look at it for too long or you’re going to want to make up an excuse for why you have to leave and call your mom for a ride home.
